Why Mentor Chinese

Since the free market reforms of the late 70's and 80's China has become the new land of opportunity with private enterprise often growing faster than the current infrastructure. Recent government incentive policies have been promoting college students to start companies in the IT and Business Process fields as a way to help build the infrastructure that is needed to support their growth. Since private enterprise is a newer concept to many Chinese and the business growth has been so rapid there huge demand created for leadership development and ethical business training.

Professionals who participate as a mentor work either one on one or as a part of an advisory board to help guide Chinese professionals in both business and life coaching. Mentors are often amazed at the amount of impact and influence that is achieved with only a small time commitment, providing a high level of return on investment and exponential impact.

How It Works

1. The potential Mentor clicks "Become a Mentor" and goes through a brief application process.

2. The Exchange will receive the application and send a reply to the potential Mentor with an email regarding acceptance or denial to the online mentoring program.

3. Those excepted into the mentoring program will be matched with a Chinese Mentee.

        a. This process can take up to six weeks, as the proper match is important to the
        success of the overall program.

4. Once a match is made the mentor will be given access to the Mentees profile, and will be scheduled for a one-hour weekly meeting.

        a. Weekly mentoring meetings will be held on Skype and will go for either 6 or 12
        weeks depending on availability.

5. The Mentor will have access to the Exchange Nexus mentor materials that can be used as a step-by-step guide to walking the Mentee through a process of business and personal growth.

6. The Mentor is given access to the Mentee after the initial sessions are over and in some cases may be asked to stay on as apart of a companies advisory board.

Requirements For Acceptance To Online Business Mentor Program

1. The Mentor must have at least 5 years of experience as an entrepreneur or in mid level management or higher

2. The Mentor must have access to high speed internet service

3. The Mentor must be willing to set aside one hour per week and send out one email per week during the duration of the program

4. If invited by a Chinese company the Mentor is encouraged to participate as a business advisor in our Virtual Business Incubation Program business plan for new ventures.
